It breaks my heart to read these recounts of the RnR Vegas race. I hate that so many runners had such a terrible time; and hate that an organization near and dear to my heart - CCFA - should have benefited from exposure and awareness surrounding the events. Lucky my friends were okay post-race, but I did see firsthand the madness that was Mandalay Bay and noticed many people not feeling well after.

Having several friends running the 1/2; a large group of us in Vegas that weekend made a point to brave the cold and cheer them on - and cheered on all the runners as a result. So inspirational! Truly a moving thing to see so many kicking ass. 

If nothing else, I hope all the runners can find a positive in that.

Before I go onto that spiel, I completed the full marathon in 4:21:13 (official). This was my fourth marathon and my first Rock n’ Roll (RnR) series event, and after this, I’m EXTREMELY hesitant to run another RnR event in the future.
